*'Bongo Baby' is a WAHM (Work At Home Mum) business run by Alice from her home in beautiful Bellingen, NSW, Australia.*

I've been sewing since I was little, have been professionally trained and have run an eclectic clothing label for grown ups since the 90s, evolving from the catwalk to the change table as a natural transition after giving birth to my own babies. I enjoy making unique creations, with *lots of love and creative energy sewn into each piece*. Many people say they can feel the difference when they have a handcrafted piece as a favourable alternative to mass produced items.

I am also *passionate about connecting with our children*, so am on a mission to make 'Elimination Communication' easier for everyone, with a range of *quality pants and other gear for Nappy Free babies* and potty training tots.

I'm also going through another transition now to make Bongo Baby sustainable, and *my new obsession is organic fabric!* I've just bought a heap of bamboo, hemp and organic cotton to make some luscious new pieces, including maternity. Due to my long-term fabric addiction, I also have mountains of other wierd and wonderful fabrics that will continue to make their way into my creations. It's more sustainable to use up what I have rather than throw them out, right?! I'm also working on putting together a newsletter which will be full of interesting information and special offers.

I do all the designing & patternmaking and until recently all the sewing myself. Due to popular demand, I've now expanded the business to include a small team of talented WAHMs (Work at Home Mums) who help to make Bongo Baby creations. This means even more people can enjoy putting their bubbas into Bongo Baby gear, and it also means I have more time to nurture my own 2 little darlings, who are my *most inspiring creations!* I have a talented assistant who is making most of the Shi Shi Nix and Eco Nix now so I can develop my ranges of clothing, especially maternity which I am busting to get out there! They're my 2 girls in the pic at the top, Lotus 3, Luna 6. Luna decided to explore her hairdressing skills, so both of them have lovely asymmetric pixie haircuts in the photo...

Other interests of mine include music, spirituality, socialising, cooking, eating, walking, making love, painting, reading, learning, talking and having fun with friends! And don't forget balancing chakras and blissing out when the occasion arises! I love chanting, it's just divine. I've been on a cleanse for a couple of weeks and am totally enjoying preparing nourishing 'guru' food from a Kundalini Yoga cookbook. So yum!

I'm fascinated with human development, particularly during pregnancy, birth and early parenting. I'm studying Wholistic Psychology and Counseling with a vision to *help parents deal with the challenges and opportunities presented during this precious time*. I've also written articles related to natural birthing, early childhood and the evolution of planetary consciousness.

A *larger vision for Bongo Baby* is to help parents make informed choices along their parenting journey, providing *information and ideas* which inspire us and our children to *reach our potential* and connect in a *natural, gentle and loving* way. This way we can *heal the world, one baby step at a time.*

*Enjoy visiting my site and getting groovy :)*

And thank you for supporting my handmade items. *Eternal gratitude!*
